About the Programme

The Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) intends to prepare students for their career in the Accounting sector with a minor specialization in BFSI, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing. It aims to develop the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes in them to meet the challenges of world of work. The programme focuses equally on theoretical and practical aspects of the above mentioned domains, promoting an attitude of life-long learning among the students and preparing them as an industry-ready professional and entrepreneur. It comprises eight semesters (two semesters in each year) over a period of 4 years. On successful completion of the eight semesters, a degree of Bachelors in Commerce (Honours) [B.Com. (Hons.)] is awarded to the students.

15% of total seats in each program being conducted at the constituent institutes of Nirma University, is available for admission to International Students under the Supernumerary categories like Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Foreign Nationals (FN); out of which one-third i.e 5% seats are earmarked for CIWGC-SEA and 10% for OCI/FN. If the OCI/FN is not filled, the quota is available to CIWGC-SEA.
Categories for International Students

  1. Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA)
    The candidates whose parents are working in Gulf countries or South East Asia are eligible under this category.
  2. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
    The persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his parents or any of his grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec 2 (b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955) are eligible under this category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are considered under this category. Earlier OCIs were called PIOs.
  3. Foreign Nationals (FN)
    The citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as defined under PIO are eligible under this category. This category includes SAARC countries also.

Criteria of Merit Preparation:

  • Percentage Marks / CGPI in 12th Standard Examination (i.e. HSC or equivalent) is used to prepare merit for admission into first year of the BCom (Honours) programmes
  • If two or more candidates have the same aggregate percentage score for 12th Standard examination, (i.e. HSC or equivalent), then the following scheme will be adopted to determine the merit for admission.
  • The marks obtained in the paper of English will be considered. The candidate with HIGHER score in paper of English will be given priority.

  • Click on the APPLY ONLINE button on the Institute’s website. Please do this only after reading this document carefully. You will be taken to the Registration / Login page. Fill all the details of registration and click on Register.

  • Step 2 – Making Application Fee Payment:
  • You will receive an OTP on your mobile number and email id. Enter this OTP for verification. After verifying, a 06-digit password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email id.

    Login to the page with the registered email id and password. The candidate will be directed to the page for creating a new password. Once the password is set, the candidate will be redirected to the Personal Information page and then final payment page.

    The application processing fee is Rs. 1000/- for General Category. The application fee is inclusive of applicable taxes. After filling up the necessary information the candidate will be directed to make final payment.

    The payment can be made through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI mode. No other modes of payment are accepted.  Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

  • Step 3 – Completing the Application Form:
  • The candidate needs to fill in the Qualification details here. The candidate will be able to fill these details once the HSC (10+2) results are declared.
    At any later stage of the admission process, if it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her is incorrect, his/her application for the admission will stand cancelled.
    At the time of admission, if the applicant is not able to produce valid proof in support of the application or if discrepancy is found in the application details and supporting documents, then the application will be considered as INVALID, and will not be considered for admission.
    Candidates should provide their correct contact details such as e-mail, mobile number, address, etc. in the application form that should be valid at least till July 2025.
