1. For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have appeared in the Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) as prescribed by the the AICTE, for the corresponding year.
2. A candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination of BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Equivalent or Degree Passed with B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level (With Additional bridge courses as per the norms of the concerned University) as per the AICTE prevailing norms with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/SEBC/EWSS category candidates) from :
   1. University situated in the Gujarat State; or
   2. University situated outside the Gujarat State:
   Provided that the candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Standard XII, 10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination from,-
   1. the Gujarat Board; or
   2. the Central Board of Secondary Education: Provided that,
      • the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or
      • the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the
   3. Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli; or the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi: Provided that,-
      • the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or
      • the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli
   4. the National Institute of Open Schooling: Provided that,
      • the study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or
      • the study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin;
      or
   5. the International School Board (International Baccalaureate and Cambridge): Provided that,
      • the study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or
      • the study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin: Provided that a candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (Standard XII, 10+2 pattern) or Bachelors' degree with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.

1. GOVERNMENT SEATS (ACPC, GOG – 85% OF INTAKE is surrendered by IT-NU to ACPC):
• These seats will be filled-up by The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. The Merit List will be prepared on basis of All India Ranking of CMAT rank secured by the candidate.
• The candidate has to apply separately to the ACPC. All the reservations (i.e.-SC/ST/SEBC/TFW/EWS/PH) etc. will be filled-up by the ACPC, GoG under this category.

2. NRI/ NRI SPONSORED SEATS :
• These seats will be filled-up by The Nirma University in Online mode.
• The candidate has to apply online through University Website
• The Merit list will be declared as per the university’s rules and will be displayed on the university’s website.

Tuition Fees

Nothing specific. However, candidates can explore the GoG scholarship schemes, such as the "Mukhymantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY)" scholarship and other government schemes, if they find themselves eligible.

For ACPC Category :

• After getting seat allocation through ACPC, Online Deposition of token tuition fees and generation of Admission Slip/Admission Letter at the ACPC official Website is to be completed by the candidate.
• After that, the candidate has to report to the MCA, IT-NU for in-person verification of documents and complete the process of Fee payment for securing a seat at MCA, IT-NU.

Note: Candidates, who have appeared in the qualifying examination and the result is awaited/ pending, can also apply. However, the ACPC committee may issue a merit number/Admission in such a case on a provisional basis and admission will be finalized only if the candidate fulfils all the requirements & eligibility criteria as per the Government of Gujarat notification and submits all necessary documents in the manner deemed asked.

For NRI / NRI Sponsored Category :

• Candidates can apply through Nirma Website in Online mode. The Application fees is Rs.1200/- + tax
• The merit list and detailed counseling schedule will be displayed on our website (https://technology.nirmauni.ac.in/admission-aid/post-graduate/mca/) & at our institute's Notice Board at W/E - Block (4th Floor) on July 21, 2025. The shortlisted candidate will have to appear for counselling/Reporting on July 25, 2025, 10.00 am sharply as specified in the merit list displayed on our website. Candidates need to bring their original mark sheets and certificates, as well as all other needed documents, including the required fees, during the counseling.

  Ineligibility for admission on the production of false document

  • During verification of documents, if the Admission Committee finds any certificate or testimony or information submitted by any candidate, incorrect or false, the candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled for that year he shall be disqualified for admission.
  • In case of any dispute or doubt in the interpretation of any clause, the decision of the admission committee, Institute of Technology, Nirma University shall be final & binding to all.
