Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) is a two year (Four Semesters) postgraduate programme approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

MPharm is offered in specializations (approved by PCI) as follows

The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum % of marks (or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Index) as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and/or Govt. of Gujarat from time to time. Candidates who are appearing for the final semester of qualifying examination (BPharm) can also apply.

The selection process for the M. Pharm program at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, is outlined as follows:

  • 25% of the seats in each specialization will be allocated through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat.
  • The remaining 75% of the seats will be filled by the Admission Committee of the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University.

Admission procedure of Admission Committee, Institute of Pharmacy:

  • GPAT Preference:Priority for admission will be given to applicants with valid GPAT scores. Admission decisions in all specializations will be based on the merit of the GPAT score.
  • Non-GPAT Candidates:Interested candidate fulfilling eligibility criteria may apply to Institute within a stipulated time period as per ACPC norms by payment of application process fees.
    • If seats remain vacant after considering qualified GPAT candidates, they will be offered to non-GPAT candidates. Selection for these seats will be based on merit from a national-level computer-based entrance exam conducted at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, on the day of counselling.
    • The entrance exam will consist of multiple-choice questions designed in alignment with the GPAT exam pattern.
    • In cases where candidates have equal GPAT ranks or identical scores for non-GPAT candidates, the merit of the qualifying examination (B. Pharm) will be considered to determine admission.
  • This structured and transparent selection process ensures that the most deserving candidates are admitted to the M. Pharm program.

Procedure for Applying to M. Pharm Program (75% Seats) at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University

Applicants seeking admission under the 75% seats filled by the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, may or may not be registered through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). To apply for these seats, candidates must follow the procedure outlined below:

  1. Online Application Submission:
    • All applications must be submitted online through the “Online Admission Application Portal” of Nirma University.
    • A downloadable form or offline submission option is not available. The portal link is: https://admissions-mph.nirmauni.ac.in/student. This link will remain active only during the specified application period.
  2. Refer to Stepwise Guide:
    • Before beginning the application process, applicants are advised to thoroughly read the stepwise guide provided on the portal to ensure accurate and complete submission.
  3. Saving Progress:
    • If unable to complete the application in one sitting, candidates can save the entries made and complete the form later.
    • After making any new entries or edits, always click the “SAVE” button to avoid losing information.
  4. Mandatory and Non-Editable Fields:
    • Certain fields such as the full name of the applicant, mobile number, and email address are mandatory for registration. Once submitted, these fields cannot be edited.
  5. Application Processing Fee:
    • The application processing fee is ₹1,250/-, which is non-refundable under any circumstances
    • The fee must be paid online through credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, or wallet.
  6. Eligibility Criteria Verification:
    • At any stage of the admission process, if a candidate is found ineligible or if any incorrect information is provided, their application will be cancelled immediately.

This systematic procedure ensures transparency and provides candidates with a clear pathway to complete their application accurately. Applicants are encouraged to review their submissions carefully before finalizing to avoid errors or discrepancies

MPharm program is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

25% seats will be filled by ACPC for all specializations of MPharm Program and the remaining 75% seats will be filled by Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University.

  • Candidate or authorized representative needs to present on the day of counseling.

  • National level computer-based entrance exam would be conducted by Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University for applicants.
  • Entrance exam syllabus and pattern would be in-line with GPAT exam.
  • Merit is prepared based on score of entrance exam only, for those who appeared for exam.
  • Admission would be offered based on merit of entrance exam only.

Entrance exam would be conducted only at Nirma University Campus on the day of counseling.

If candidates have same score (GPAT or National Level online entrance exam conducted by Nirma University), then the result of qualifying exam (i.e. BPharm) is considered.

Yes, candidate may apply as final year BPharm student. However, applicant has to submit result immediately after announcement from university.

In case of non-availability of result on date of counseling, the admission would be offered on conditional basis along with undertaking from student and parent, to submit result immediately after announcement from university, as well as, candidate must have to pass with marks higher than minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

Yes. Applicant can change preferences in online application portal till last date of application. The final preferences would be obtained on the day of counseling.

  • In such case, applicant may choose to get admission in next preferred specialization.
  • During reshuffling process for vacant seat (in case of any cancellation received in future), admitted candidates would be reshuffled as per merit & final preference submitted on the counseling day.
